Artist Statement

Space: For this piece, I wanted to play with the concept of space and the way light travels through it. For this, I constructed a cylindrical shape held together by sticks, leaving multiple holes all throughout. A paper pyramid "floats" in the center, playing upon the idea of space.

Repetition: In order to exemplify the concept of repetition, I chose to create a seemingly floating staircase. I used the triangles and lines to depict repetition throughout the piece.
